Our story, mission, and the heart behind every act of care
Who We Are
Parveen Memorial Welfare Organization is a voluntary social welfare agency dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for underserved communities, with a strong focus on the care and well-being of senior citizens.
We undertake a range of welfare initiatives including healthcare facilitation, social and emotional well-being programs, community outreach and awareness campaigns, support services for vulnerable and low-income groups, and organized fundraising events.
Inspired by the values of care, dignity, and service β we began as a grassroots initiative and have steadily evolved into a structured welfare platform, driven by community trust, dedicated volunteers, and a shared vision of compassion.
Our Foundation
To enhance the quality of life for senior citizens and marginalized communities through compassionate care, support services, community outreach, and sustainable welfare programs that respect human dignity.
A compassionate society where every elderly individual and vulnerable person receives the dignity, care, and inclusion they deserve β where no one grows old in loneliness or neglect.
Compassion Β· Dignity Β· Inclusion Β· Service Β· Integrity Β· Community. These are not just words β they are the principles guiding every decision, every visit, and every act of care we deliver.
Our Journey
From a heartfelt idea to a structured welfare platform β here is how PMWO evolved.
Parveen Memorial Welfare Organization was founded in Karachi with a grassroots initiative focused on visiting isolated elderly individuals in local communities. The first volunteers began home visit programs.
Through continuous community engagement and transparent service delivery, PMWO gained significant trust from families, local partners, and stakeholders. Volunteer numbers grew steadily.
PMWO evolved from informal outreach to a structured welfare platform β with defined programs, volunteer management, and formal partnerships with healthcare providers and local NGOs.
Services expanded across multiple districts of Karachi. The organization began needs assessments across Sindh to plan for provincial-level program expansion in the coming years.
PMWO is now designing its next generation of welfare programs including medical camps, community engagement events, and a formal "Adopt a Grandparent" companionship initiative β launching in phases.
Who We Serve
PMWO serves a broad spectrum of individuals β united by a common need for dignity, care, and human connection.
Our primary focus β elderly individuals who require social, physical, emotional, and medical support to age with dignity and joy.
Low-income individuals and families β including women and children β who lack access to basic healthcare, nutrition, and social services.
People who are emotionally alone β regardless of financial status β suffering from the profound impact of loneliness and lack of meaningful human connection.
Neighborhoods and communities in Karachi and Sindh where structured welfare, awareness, and resource access are critically needed.

"Every Thursday when I visit Nana ji, I leave feeling more human. This work gave my life a purpose I didn't know I was missing."
"I'm a medical student. PMWO lets me put my skills to real use β connecting elders with doctors who care. It's the most meaningful thing I do."
"The moment an elder laughs at our events β that sound is everything. I organize our Eid gatherings and they fill my heart every single time."
